Surfaces Rx was hired to repair the damage. The scratches where long and against the grain which required that the hallway floor be sanded to remove the scratches.
Following the Surfaces Rx refinishing process, the hardwood floors were re-stained and top-coated with the same waterborne finish to match the existing floors.
Initially we had planned on completing the repair in one trip, but because of the severity of the damage and the fact the scratches went across the grain, the owner and our Surfaces Rx foreman agreed that we needed to schedule another appointment to refinish the hallway floor.
It second service call lasted 8 hours and at the end of the day, the first topcoat of waterborne finish was applied and allowed to cure overnight. We returned the following day for the final touch-up.
